Manhattanville MFA Program Creative Writing Workshop via ZOOM

Monday, July 6

3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

The Dobbs Ferry Public Library will offer an online creative writer’s workshop presented by Joy Masoff.  Joy is the creator of the enormously popular “OH!” trilogy for Workman Publishing, and her titles have sold well over a million and a half copies.  She also is the creative director and lead writer for Five Ponds Press, an educational publisher that is dedicated to creating vibrant, highly visual K-8 curriculum in science and social studies, specifically for the state of Virginia.  She has also written several nonfiction books for Scholastic and National Geographic for Kids.  She is currently a pH.D candidate in history at Arizona State University and hopes to one day write a screenplay or two based on some particularly colorful historical figures.

In this session, attendees may watch a 15-minute video presentation about a particular skill or aspect of writing. The writer will end with a writing prompt or assignment you can work on and share with other writers at the session on July 13.  This online event is free and open to the public.
