DFPL Cultural Explorers presents Lunar New Year Festival via ZOOM (Registration)

Friday, February 12
3:30 pm - 4:45 pm
There may be a pandemic, but that can’t stop the DFPL Cultural Explorers from celebrating the New Year with our Asian neighbors! Join us for a virtual festival led by members of our own Dobbs Ferry community, highlighting traditions in China, Korea, and Vietnam.
- Watch a presentation on Korea’s Seollal celebration and learn how to make jaegi, a kind of toy
- Learn how to make origami oxen (for the Year of the Ox) and banners for the Chinese Chun Jie Festival
- Create a family tree in the shape of a cherry tree and discuss how the Vietnamese celebrate Tet
Make sure to reserve and pick up our Take and Make Craft on Saturday, February 6 — it will include everything you need for these activities!
All ages welcome / geared towards younger children
