Adults, Teens and Children – there’s a Reading Game for you!

• Adult Summer Reading Bingo is back in 2026!  This year’s summer reading program is themed “Unearth A Story” with a focus on dinosaurs, archaeology, paleontology, and gardening – but your reading choices can go beyond the theme.  The goal is to further grow your love of reading.  Each Bingo row comes with its own prize.  All participants will be entered into a drawing for a “dino-mite” gift basket at the end of the summer.  Have questions? Join dental hygienist Joanne Roos of Main Street Pediatric Dentistry in Tuckahoe to learn how to take care of your teeth, whether you’re new to having them or have a couple years under your belt.  Every child attending will receive a goody bag with toothbrush, toothpaste, and more!

It’s Spring, and that means it’s WINDY–windy enough to fly a kite! Join writer Karen Gardner in creative fun that will lift your spirits, and take home a kite that celebrates your imagination and creativity.  Decorate a kite with your own drawings and/or write a poem or words that express the joys of flying a kite.  Then watch your craftiness soar when you fly your own original kite!

Reading Education Assistance Dogs® (R.E.A.D.®) is a registered program of Intermountain Therapy Animals, Salt Lake City, Utah. All rights reserved.  R.E.A.D. is the 1st and foremost comprehensive reading to therapy dogs support program helping to improve children’s literacy and social skills through the assistance of trained, licensed and insured therapy dog teams as literacy mentors.

Do you like nature? Do you want to learn more about the plants and things that grow outside? Lisa Solomon will give a slide presentation and introduce you to the captivating world of wild mushroom hunting!

Lisa is an experienced mycophile, and she will show you the variety of colors, shapes, sizes, and even smells found in fungi, and challenge common myths along the way.

If you come you will:

• learn how to identify mushrooms
• find out about what to wear and what to bring
• review safety rules for collecting and cooking
• learn about emerging frontiers and how fungi can save the world

Take home information about local amateur clubs, field guides, apps, and online resources so you can go exploring.
