A FREE kids’ clothing, toy, & gear swap — open to everyone!
Donate: drop off items anytime before the swap at 68 Belden Avenue, Dobbs Ferry — donation bin on the porch. Day-of donations are welcome too.
Swap: show up with bags and take whatever your family can use!
No donation? No problem! You absolutely do not need to donate in order to participate. Everyone is welcome.
Please donate ahead of time if possible so shoppers have the best selection!
Especially needed:
- Winter gear — jackets, pants, boots, gloves, hats, etc.
- Warm clothes
- Halloween costumes
Also bring:
- Summer clothes
- Pajamas
- Shoes, socks, & accessories
- Kids’ toys
- Baby/kids gear
- Everything else
Clothing should be in wearable condition and free of rips. Stains are okay.

Gardening & More Workshop: Healthy Soil, Healthy People & Compost Critters (Registration)

Join Sara of Gardening & More for a hands-on exploration of soil and its properties. Learn about decomposition and the role of Compost Critters, explore Red Wiggler worms up close, and make a worm bin from reusable materials to show how these compost critters handle food scraps to make healthy soil.

FerryCon 2026 **NEW DATE**

FerryCon is the library’s annual Comic Con-style flagship event for all ages that takes place one Saturday every fall (formerly spring). Since 2019, FerryCon has brought over 300 participants to the library for fun-filled events including artists alley, classes, panels, and contests that revolved around comic books, graphic novels, super heroes, and more!
This event is free but will include a suggested donation of $5 per family at the door. We’re fundraising for the library this year!

12:30pm: Kids’ Combat Workshop with Hudson Valley Saber Guild
1:30pm: Storybuilding: Create Your Own Characters and Tell Your Own Story with author Mina Elwell

4:00pm: Super Mario Galaxy (PG, 2026) showing

Enter our raffle to win the kids, teen, and/or adult gift basket containing prizes like a signed Marvel comic, superhero merch, and more! Proceeds go to the Friends of the Dobbs Ferry Library. $3 for 1 ticket or $5 for 2 tickets. Feel free to buy these ahead of time in the week leading up to the event, too.
